Oriyomi Abagun

Oriyomi Abagun is a champion for out-of-school youth, especially adolescent girls, driving ATLAS Initiative programmes that help those Not in Education, Employment or Training transition into learning and livelihoods. She pioneered the strengthening capacities for Resilience and Empowerment of Adolescent Mothers (SCRAM) project, creating safe spaces and delivering crucial life skills, financial literacy, digital literacy and vocational training with community engagement in Ikorodu LGA, Lagos.

She has also pioneered various programmes encouraging alternative learning opportunities for children and youth having trained over 300 young people including the transformative Young Creators Bootcamp aimed at building technical and life skills for young ones to thrive in the ever evolving creative digital future of work.

She has also worked on Enriching Lives Through Education (ELiTE)project, ensuring out-of-school girls and boys build the confidence and entrepreneurship capabilities needed for re-entry, retention and a route out of poverty. Her programme leadership, partnership development and volunteer coordination, including leading more than 200 volunteers, anchor delivery and accountability.
